John C. Henze

John C. Henze, 76, of Two Harbors, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at his home after a long illness.

John was born August 26, 1948 to Roy and Gladys (Anderson) Henze in Two Harbors where he was a life-long resident. After high school he served in the US Army from 1968-1970 in Vietnam working the “Dust Off” Air Ambulance Medical Unit. Returning to Two Harbors he was employed by the DM &IR Railroad until his retirement due to disabilities.

John was a member of North Shore Classics Car Club and the American Legion.

He enjoyed his classic cars, cats, and politics and was an active supporter of the Lake County Humane Society, and the political candidates of his choice.

John was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Patrice; and a brother Karl.

He is survived by his cats, Turbo and Ninja; special friends, Roy, J.D., Paul and Susan; his friends in the car club; and other car enthusiasts around the world.

Services will be held at 1 PM Thursday, September 19, 2024 at Cavallin Funeral Home in Two Harbors. Burial with military honors will be held at Lakeview Cemetery.
