John W. Haveri

John W. Haveri, 78, Two Harbors, died Monday, September 30, 2024 at Diamond Willow-Lester River.

John was born on Christmas Day December 25, 1945 to Doivo and Helen (Carlson) Haveri in Duluth. A life-long resident of Two Harbors, John graduated from high school in 1964, and from UMD in 1969. He worked as an industrial arts teacher in Superior for seven years, then with his friend Mike Bustrom was self-employed as a B & H Construction for several years. When the Lousiana-Pacific plant opened in Two Harbors in 1985, he started at “the bottom” sweeping floors, and retired in 2008 as plant superintendent. 

John was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and hiking with his family. 

John was preceded in death by his parents. 

He is survived by his wife, Pixie; children, John (Shannon) Haveri, Rob (Sara) Haveri and Shelly (Cory) Olson; grandchildren, Emily (Jake), Kristin, Amanda, Logan, Madison, Lindsey, Chloe and Lynnea; a sister, Janet (Joe) Seeber; and nieces and nephews; and his dog, Taffy.

Visitation will be from 10 AM until the 11 AM service on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Two Harbors.
