John LaMont Clark

John LaMont Clark, 59, of Two Harbors died Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at Waterview Shores in Two Harbors after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Two Harbors on September 10, 1964 to Willard and Gloria (Thorson) Clark where he grew up and graduated from high school in 1983. John was an gifted athlete in both baseball and hockey and was the Homecoming King in 1982. After high school, John attended Hibbing Community College where he won two National Championships with their hockey team in 1984 and 1985. He later attended Lake Superior College and earned a Respiratory Therapy certificate and was employed at St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth until health problems forced his retirement.
John enjoyed his men’s softball league, fishing, and making and painting ceramic trout.
He is survived by his parents, Willard and Gloria; brothers Ricky (Brenda) Clark and Bruce Clark; nieces and nephews, Jesse, Shawn (Dawn), Faith, Hailey, Isaiah (Patty), LeAnn, and Hope; and several great-nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 2 PM on Friday, June 28, 2024 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Two Harbors.
