Joan B. McInerney, 85, of Two Harbors, died, Saturday June 20, 2015 at the Benedictine Health Center in Duluth, with her family, friends and Jesus at her side.
Joan was born Aug. 12, 1929 to Frank and Pearl (Lueck) Miller in Two Harbors, where she was a life-long resident. She graduated from high school in 1947 and in 1950 married Bob McInerney. She was employed at bakeries and Miller’s Café for many years. Joan was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
Joanie loved spending time with her family on the shore of Lake Superior, picnicking, warm summer days, and eating out. She also enjoyed a good hot cup of coffee anytime and anywhere.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and sisters, Dorothy Asleson and Patsy Bonneville.
Joan is survived by her daughter, Sherri (Bob) Entzion of Knife River; sons, Steven (Barbara) of Largo, FL, David (Lori) of Bemidji, and Dan of Honolulu, Hawaii; beloved brother-in-law, Chuck Bonneville; special cousin, Mike (Jan) Sullivan; grandchildren, Amy (Dave), Brian (Suzanne), Josh (Caroline), Chad, Matt (Melissa) and Simbre (Steve); 19 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
