Jeffrey Garner

Jeffrey L. Garner, 71, Two Harbors, died peacefully at his home on Saturday, April 2, 2022.

Jeff was born November 15, 1950 to George and Marceline (Helmer) Garner in Bloomington, Minnesota, and grew up in Atwater. After graduating from high school in 1968, he served stateside in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War. Jeff moved to Two Harbors in 1976 and was employed by the D M & I R Railway on the ore docks until retiring in 2006. He also worked at Gooseberry Falls State Park for several years.

He enjoyed fishing with his friends, and flower gardening.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents; a nephew, James Garner; and his special dog, Yoda.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Bonnie; sister and brother, Sandra Edwards and Ronald (Kathy) Garner both of Atwater; nephews, Michael (Cory Bauer) and Joel (Theresa) Edwards, a niece, Emily (Jeff) Wilson; Bonnie’s sisters, Judy (Charlie) Johnson and Joyce (Patrick) Gjerdahl and their families; and many friends.
