Jeanette Jackson, 83, of French River, died Monday, August 22, 2022 at BeeHive Homes Assisted Living in Duluth.
Jeanette was born September 15, 1938 to Christian and Ida (Jacobson) Hammer in Grand Marais, and grew up in Hovland. After high school she moved to Duluth to attend beauty school. While living in Duluth she met Jerry Jackson and since their marriage, made their home in French River.
Jeanette was a member of French River Lutheran Church and the Rosemaling Society. She enjoyed creating crafts to sell at reginal craft shows, and rosemaling painting. Other hobbies included flower gardening, Scandinavian baking, shopping, and her love for animals.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents and an older brother, Carl Hammer.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Jackson; daughter, Jennifer (Curtis) Schneider of Clayton, Wisconsin; sisters, Irene Malner, Edna Bowen and Evie Brown; brother, David Hammer; and many nieces and nephews.
Service will be held at French River Lutheran Church on Monday, August 29th at 11 AM. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 AM. Burial will be in LakeView-Palmers Cemetery following the service. To share your memories or condolences online please visit www.cavallinfuneralhome.com.
