Howard Mallory

Howard L. Mallory, 82, of Two Harbors, died, Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Ecumen Scenic Shores.
He was born March 1, 1934 to George Sr. and Helen (Dibble) Mallory in Duluth. Howard grew up in Clover Valley, and attended school there before graduating from Two Harbors High School. After attending college in Minneapolis, Howard became a medical lab technician and was employed at Lake View Memorial Hospital for 34 years. He married Sondra Anderson on June 22, 1956.
Howard was a member of the United Church, the Jaycees, the Lions, and served on the DAC board. His interests included square dancing, camping and woodworking. He also enjoyed coaching Minnesota Special Olympics with District 3.
Howard is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sondra; brother, George “Stan” Mallory Jr.; and sisters, Barbara Waldron and Susie Coolidge.
He is survived by his son, Keith of Mound; daughter, Laurie Mallory of Two Harbors; sisters, Margaret Hokanson of Two Harbors, Elaine Hanger of Duluth, Dale (Roy) Waldron of Mt. Iron, Karen (Jack) Mahaffy of Blaine, Ruth (Rick) Whitcomb, of Rogers; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 10 AM until the 11 AM service on Wednesday March 9, 2016 at the United Church in Two Harbors.
