Helen Schuelke, 83, of Two Harbors died Sunday, December 14, 2014 at her home.
She was born on October 31, 1931 to Oscar and Alice (Ballard) Anderson in Neilsville, WI where she grew up and attended schools. She was married to Clarence R. Schuelke Sr. on February 3, 1951 at Zion Lutheran Church in Granton, WI. Together they moved to Two Harbors in 1959 and Helen was employed as a cook at the Moose Lodge and for AEOA, preparing meals for Meals on Wheels. Over the years, Helen and Clarence enjoyed raising their 7 children.
Helen enjoyed gardening and playing cards.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence; daughter, Shirley Aldinger; and brother, Julian Anderson.
Helen is survived by her children Clarence Jr. “Butch” (Paula) of Robbinsdale, Barbara (Ron Johns) of Duluth, Randolph of Two Harbors, Jeffrey of Two Harbors, Patricia (John) Hale of Silver Bay, and Mark (Tami) of Cloquet; 20 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 PM to 7 PM on Wednesday, December 17 at Cavallin Funeral Home and will continue from 10 AM until the 11 AM funeral service on Thursday, December 18 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Two Harbors.
