Heather Peterson

March 18, 1972 — July 7, 2014

Heather Peterson, 42, of Finland, died with her family by her side, Monday July 7, 2014 at Carefree Living in Silver Bay, after fighting a courageous 6 year battle with brain cancer.

She was born March 18, 1972 to Robert and Carol (Swanson) Williams. Heather grew up in Silver Bay and graduated from William Kelley High School in 1990. She married Ted Peterson on August 26, 1995 in Finland. Heather was an avid photographer, taught Sunday school at Zion Lutheran Church, was a board member of North Shore Area Partners, active in Relay for Life, and was a beloved team member at Bri-Esa's Convenience in Silver Bay.

Heather's joys were being a mother to her three children, bowling, gardening, and thinking up new projects to add to Ted's "honey-do" list.

Heather will be remembered for her beautiful smile, infectious laughter, amazing bravery, and kind and caring heart. She was an inspiration to all who knew her and loved her.

Heather is preceded in death by her parents; in-laws, Robert and Florence Peterson; and grandparents, Cecil and Rita Swanson and Carl and Edith Williams.

She is survived in the hearts of her husband Ted; children, Cody, Josie, and Chase; siblings, Jolene (Jon) Stover, Tami Ehrenberg, Holly (Michael) Ostrowski, James (Kara) Williams, and Jarod Williams; grand niece, Layla; grand nephews, Landon and Vinny; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, the extended Williams and Peterson families, and many loving friends.

Visitation will be from 10 AM until the 11 AM Memorial Service Saturday July 12, 2014 at the Clair Nelson Center in Finland.
