Harold Swanberg
April 26, 1926 — February 4, 2013
Harold "Swanny" Swanberg, of Two Harbors, MN, formerly of Cloquet, MN, died peacefully in his home early Monday morning, February 4, 2013.
Harold was born April 26, 1926 in Munising Michigan, and raised in Chatham Michigan, the youngest of seven and the last sibling of that generation to pass. A veteran of WWII and a graduate of Michigan State University, class of '51, with a Bachelors degree in forestry. Harold was employed with Potlatch Corp. in Cloquet for 22 years.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Joyce, and sons Gary and Gordon.
He is survived by his sons Douglas, Tracy and Chriss (Lisa Swanberg), daughters Susan Myrmel, Sandra "Sam" Wood, Ginger Heimstra (Leonard), 13 grand children, 14 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends. He will be greatly missed by all.
Celebration of Life will be held at the Two Harbors American Legion on Saturday, February 16, 2013 from 3 to 5 PM. Memorials preferred.
