Gregory W. “Abe” Kellerman, 67 of Silver Bay passed away at home on Sunday, January 22, 2017 with his loving wife and family by his side.
Abe was born February 20, 1949 to John and Phyllis (Meacham) Kellerman in Crosby, MN. He married Bonnie Church in Minneapolis in 1970, and in 1977 they moved to Silver Bay, where they raised their family. He held several positions as a heavy equipment operator and was a proud member Operating Engineers-Local #49.
Known to many as “Crazy Abe” for his love of a good time, he also enjoyed trapping, hunting, wood-working, and cribbage. He also loved his morning “shake of the dice” with the guys at the Silver Bay Lounge.
Abe was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Gary, and his son Greg.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; daughter, Deanna (Jim) Koenen; son, Zachary Kellerman; a grandson, Collin; siblings Bob and Deb; and other relatives and friends.
A celebration of Abe’s life will be held from 5:30 PM until 8 PM on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at the Silver Bay Municipal Lounge in Silver Bay.
