GERALDINE MARIE LAMPART

Geraldine Lampart, 72, of Two Harbors, died Friday, June 10, 2011 at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth with her family by her side.

She was born March 3, 1939 to Russell and Mary (Zdrobouski) Marleau in Ironwood, Michigan, where she grew up and attended schools. She married Thomas Lampart and they moved to Two Harbors where he worked at Reserve Mining. Gerri raised her family while working at numerous places around town, most notable Neighbor to Neighbor, where she worked until her death.

Gerri was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and the Widow's Group. She was very active in the church and in the community, being honored with the proclamation of April 17 as Geraldine Lampart Day in Two Harbors. Gerri enjoyed cooking, baking, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas Jr.; sons, Roger and Gregory; daughter, Deborah; and brother, Rusty.

Gerri is survived by her sons, Tommy (Marion) of Oklahoma, Ronny of Florida, Andy of Two Harbors, and Larry (Danielle) of Two Harbors; daughter, Deanna of St. Paul; brothers, Larry (Pat) Marleau of California, Jimmy (Jan) Marleau of Oregon, and George Marleau of Montana; sisters Carol (Jack) Brady of Oregon and Marilyn Marleau of Washington; grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be held from 3-5 PM on Sunday, June 12, 2011 at Cavallin Funeral Home in Two Harbors. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM Monday, June 13, 2011 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Two Harbors. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery.
