Evelyn Lovell

Evelyn Lovell, 92, of Silver Bay, formerly of Longmont, CO. died Friday, November 8, 2013 at Ecumen Scenic Shores in Two Harbors.
She was born on September 5, 1921 to Harry and Cledas Rozema in Lansing, Michigan. Evelyn grew up and attended schools in Freemont, MI. She married Larry Lovell and together they had one son. They made their home in Colorado where Evelyn worked as the Senior Executive Secretary for the Director of Social Services in Boulder County. She loved what she did and was proud to let people know.
Upon retirement in 1987, Evelyn and Larry moved to Silver Bay. She was a past member of the Garden Club in Silver Bay. She enjoyed gardening, baking cakes, travelling, and playing with her great-grandchildren.
Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Larry; a brother; 2 sisters; and special friend, Cliff Maertens.
She is survived by her son, John of Duluth; granddaughter, Carmen (Kyle) Beardsley of Knife River; great-grandchildren Alex, Lindsay, and Connor; friend, Leanne LeNeau of Duluth; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at the Knife River Lutheran Church in Knife River.
