Erma Kirk

Erma M. Kirk, 94, of Grand Marais died Monday, September 29, 2014 at the North Shore Hospital in Grand Marais.
Erma was born May 11, 1920 to George and Clara (Nelson ) Knott in Pine River, MN. She grew up working on the family farm Pine River. Erma was married to Archie Kirk Sr. on January 2, 1942. Upon Archie Sr.’s discharge from the Army, they made their home in Grand Marais, operating Kirk’s Landing Resort at Seagull River.
Erma loved fishing and gardening.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Archie; grandson, Ivan; 3 brothers; and 2 sisters.
Erma is survived by her son, Archie Jr. (Natalia); grandsons, Jordy (Heidi) and Daniil (Jurgita); 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Glenna; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 3 PM on Thursday, October 2, 2104 at Cavallin Funeral Home in Grand Marais. Burial will be at Poplar Grove Cemetery.
