Elsie Olson

Elsie C. Olson, 91 of Two Harbors, passed away Thursday Dec, 4, 2014 at Ecumen Scenic Shores in Two Harbors.
She was born November 2, 1923 to Ernest and Ellen (Berquist) Larson in Duluth, MN. Elsie grew up in Two Harbors, graduating with the class of 1941. She attended Duluth Business University and worked in Washington D.C., Duluth, and for the DM&IR Telephone office in Two Harbors. Elsie also worked in the Two Harbors High School Library. On January 15, 1949 she married Donald J. Olson.
Elsie was baptized, confirmed, and married at Emmanuel Lutheran Church where she was a lifelong member. She also belonged to the church circle, quilting group, and the “Footprints” crew. Elsie was also a life member of the VFW Auxiliary.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Bertil Larson.
Elsie is survived by husband Donald of Two Harbors; son Roger (Lisa) Olson of Escondido, CA; daughter Nancy Oliver of Rainier, OR; grandchildren Daniel (Leah) and Nicole Oliver; one nephew, Ronald Larson; and many cousins in Sweden.
A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
