Edwin Sundvick

EDWIN H. SUNDVICK, 84, Finland, died Sunday Jul 10, 2011 in St. Luke's Hospital.
He was born February 6, 1927 to Gust and Mina Sundvick in Shaw, Minnesota, where he grew up, attending school in Cotton. He served in the U. S. Army from 1947 to 1949, before moving to Finland. He was employed as laborer for rock drilling companies for twenty years, and also operated a salvage business for many years. Ed was proud of being a veteran and enjoyed the past 3 years spent at the Minnesota Veteran's Home in Silver Bay.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Sylvia in 1999; three brothers, Clarence, Theodore and Elmer; and a sister, Hildur Ledeen.
He is survived by a son - Wayne (Bonnie) Sundvick of Finland; two grandchildren - Ryan and Stacy, and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from Noon until 2 PM on Wednesday July 13, 2011 at Cavallin Funeral Home in Two Harbors. Graveside services will follow at 3 PM at Crystal Bay Cemetery in Finland.
