Dorothy Mayfield

Dorothy Mayfield, 94, Two Harbors, died Monday, April 18, 2011 in Ecumen Scenic Shores.
She was born December 8, 1916 to Louis and Mildred (Kringler) Larson in Two Harbors where she was a life-long resident. She married Richard Mayfield in 1934, and was employed as a nurse's aide at the Community Health Center for 36 years, retiring in 1977. Dorothy was a member of the HarborMates Club, the Women of the Moose and VF W Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Richard in 1982; a daughter, Mary Ann Mayfield in 1950; son, Robert in 2008, a brother, Louis Larson, and sisters, Ethel Naslund, and Betty Juth; and daughter-in-law, Marie Mayfield.
Dorothy is survived by two sons, Donald and Earl (Pam) both of Two Harbors; sister, Shirley Rodvold of Two Harbors; six grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 12 Noon until the 1 PM service on Thursday April 21, 2011 at Cavallin Funeral Home in Two Harbors. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Ecumen Scenic Shores Activity Fund.
