Doris Northagen

Doris E. Northagen, 83, formerly of Beaver Bay, MN died Saturday, May 30, 2020 at Valley Senior Living in Grand Forks, ND surrounded by her family.

She was born July 2, 1936 to James F. and Alvina (Machovsky) Capouch in Walsh County, ND.  She later married Jim Northagen on June 18, 1955.  Doris was a homemaker through the years and raised three children:  Duane, David and Sandra.  She lived most of her life in Beaver Bay, an area which she loved.  In their later years, she and Jim enjoyed spending their winters in Mission, TX.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jim; sisters, Mildred Vigen and Verna Votava; brothers, Eugene Capouch and Wendell Capouch and a grandson, Joshua Berggren.

Doris is survived by her sons Duane (Dawn) of Buffalo, MN, David of Silver Bay, MN, daughter Sandra Johnson (Bob) of East Grand Forks, MN; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

There will be a memorial service in her honor at the Beaver Bay Cemetery on Saturday, June 13th at 1 pm.
