Doris Carlson

Doris "Dorie" Williams Carlson passed away very peacefully at home, with her daughter laying by her side, Monday, September 22, 2014.
She was born to Howard and Cora Williams in Sturgeon Lake, Minnesota on August 8, 1938. After the age of 7, she was raised by her sister, Cora Katzele, proceeding the death of her mother.
Dorie graduated from Ritter St. Paul Beauty College. She married the love of her life, Dave Carlson in 1957. For 3 decades she owned and operated Harbor Beauty Salon, until she closed it a year ago.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Dave; son, Scott; and all of her siblings, 4 sisters, and 2 brothers.
Dorie is survived by her daughter, Christie Higgins; 3 grandchildren, Meghan, Mariah (Rob Blettner), and Elijah Higgins; and as of one month ago, her one and only great grandchild, Otto Blettner.
Service will be held 11 AM Friday September 26, 2014 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Humane Society or Animal Shelter of your choice. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery.
