Doreen Brown

Doreen Brown, 69, of Grand Marais, died Saturday, August 11, 2012 at the Cook County North Shore Hospital.
She was born on July 21, 1943 to Vincent and Marcella (Luecht) Brygal in Chicago, Ill. Doreen grew up and attended schools in Chicago. She lived for many years in Fort Wayne, Ind. before moving to Grand Marais in 2003. She was employed at Blue Fin Bay Restaurant, Gene's IGA, and the Cook County North Shore Hospital and Care Center.
Doreen was an avid reader, a beginning quilter, and a loving pet owner.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Doreen is survived by her twin sister Donna Wielinski and brother-in-law Ken Wielinski.
A memorial service is pending. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the North Shore Health Care Foundation or Arrowhead Animal Rescue of Cook County.
