Donna Mae Malm, 85, Two Harbors, died Saturday, March 27, 2021 at home.
Donna was born August 4, 1935 to Albert and Hannah (Wicklund) Niezgocki in St. Paul, where she grew up and attended school. Moving to Two Harbors in 1979, she worked as a cook and caregiver at various care centers and was known and appreciated for her kindness.
Donna was a member of Shepherd of the Lake Lutheran Church and was grateful for the fellowship of her church family.
She enjoyed time with her fmaily and friends, puzzles of every type, bingo, and a good game of Yahtzee, which she always seemed to win.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Merle Murray and Donald Malm; and siblings, Vernon,Violet, Russell, June, Kenneth and Clayton.
She is survived by a son, Francis (Paula) Murray; a daughter, Janice Murray (Brant Larson); grandchildren, Jesse, Jenna, Sara, Taylor, Casey and Tristan; great-grandchildren, Leo, Liam, Theo, Gavin, Layla and Alaina; and a sister-in-law, Miriam Niezgocki.
Thanks to the excellent care by the staff of Waterview Shores Assisted Living and the team from St. Croix Hospice, Donna was able to pass peacefully into the loving arms of Jesus, with her daughter by her side, and the hymn “It is Well With My Soul” playing. For this we are grateful.
Visitation will be from 11-1 PM on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Shepherd of the Lake Lutheran Church in Two Harbors. To share your memories or condolences online please visit www.cavallinfuneralhome.com.
