Don Bergman, 86, of Two Harbors died Sunday, April 3, 2016 at Lake View Memorial Hospital.
He was born on October 24, 1929 to Edwin and Esther (Midtlyng) Bergman in Two Harbors, on the family farm where he lived all his life. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. Don was employed as a switchman for the DM&IR railroad for 10 years and then the Soo Line railroad out of Superior until his retirement.
Don was a life member of the VFW.
He enjoyed raising beef cattle and sheep on the family farm
Don was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Fred, Carl, Raymond, Dean, and Clifford; and sisters, Jean and AnnaMae.
He is survived by his wife, Lorraine; a son, Kevin Bergman of Two Harbors; daughter, Robin Wiita of North Bend, WA; 4 granddaughters, Danielle, Gabrielle, Beth, and Jacqueline; great-granddaughter, Josie; a sister, Lois Sand; a sister-in-law, Marlene Bergman; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services with military honors will be held at 1 PM Friday, April 8, 2016 at Lakeview Cemetery, Two Harbors.
