Don Alseth, 76, Duluth Township, died unexpectedly at home on Tuesday June 6, 2017.
Don was born November 8, 1940 to Milton and Ellen (Mattson) Alseth in Duluth, grew up in Duluth Township, and graduated from Clover Valley High School in 1958. He attended UMD and later received his associate of arts degree. Don married Bette Kay Hendrickson on July 8, 1963 and they made their home in Two Harbors for 31 years before returning to his childhood home in Duluth Township. Don was employed by Duluth Brewing and Malting, Reserve Mining Company, and later LaBounty Manufacturing, retiring in 2002.
Don was a member of The River Church.
He enjoyed camping, fishing, motorcycling, bicycling, hunting, target practice, and visiting with friends. Don loved his family and serving the Lord.
Don was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Bette; children Tim (Rena Kramer) Alseth of Strand Lake, Tami (Dean) Johnson of Kettle River, and Mike (Katja Carlson) Alseth of Duluth; grandchildren Chanda Jackson, Tierza Joy Molitor, JB L’Esperance, Jennifer Aradondo, Becca Kronlund, John, Anne, and Angela L’Esperance, Dimitri McKinnon; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1 PM on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at the River Church 1902 E. 4th St. Duluth.
