Dolores Gaffaney, 87, of Silver Bay died Tuesday, August 28, 2012 peacefully at home surrounded by her family.
She was born on August 16, 1925 to Henry and Elizabeth Wagener in Waconia, MN. Dolores graduated from Good Counsel Academy in Mankato, MN; and attended the College of St. Benedict in St. Joseph, MN.
Dolores was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leo Dean Gaffaney; and brother, Fr. Clarence Wagener.
She is survived by son, Tim (Denise) of Wausau, WI; daughters Carmen (John) Cox of White Bear Lake, Patricia (John) Turonie of Cloquet, Teresa (John) Dumais of Duluth, and Mary (Scott) Gronseth of Duluth; 13 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brothers Art, Hank, and Morrie; sisters Betsy, Irene, Marie, and Florence; and sister-in-law Joann Gaffaney.
Visitation will be from 11 AM until the 12 Noon Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Silver Bay. Interment will be at a later date in Villard, MN.
