Diane Solem

Diane Serena Solem, 61, of Two Harbors, died peacefully, surrounded by her family, Friday, March 7, 2014 at her home.
She was born March 17, 1952 to Vernon and Julia (Riaccone) Chladek in Duluth. Diane graduated from Hermantown High School in 1970. She married her high school sweetheart Howard Solem in 1972, and a year later they moved to Two Harbors. Diane was a homemaker through the years, and enjoyed going to the casino with friends, and family dinners with her eight grandchildren.
Diane is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard in 1992; and brother, Fred.
She is survived by her children, Josh (Jennifer) of Hibbing, Jenny (Eric) Beck, Jesse (Ann) and Jamie; all of Two Harbors; sister, Maria Hastings, of Elkton, Maryland; grandchildren, Megan, Kendall, Emma, Howard, Wesley, Andrew, Abby, and Koby; and other extended family.
Services will be held at 1 PM on Friday, March 14, 2014 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Two Harbors. Burial will be at a later date in Park Hill Cemetery in Duluth.
