Dennis Duemke, 72, Two Harbors, died Wednesday, March 8, 2017 in Ecumen Scenic Shores.
Dennis was born on December 30, 1944 to Bruce and Phyllis (Guptil) Duemke. He grew up in Minneapolis and graduated from St. Louis Park High School. After serving with the U. S. Marine Corps Reserves for six years he was employed as a printer with the family business in the Twin Cities for over 20 years. He then moved to Two Harbors and worked as a logger for nearly 20 years.
Dennis was a member of the American Legion and a life member of the National Hot Rod Association.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and car collecting.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Sharon Burkmeier.
He is survived by his wife, Carol of Mesa, Arizona; sons, Scott (Jeanine) Duemke of Two Harbors, and Todd (Pam) Duemke of Grey Eagle, MN; a daughter, Ann Duemke of Gary New Duluth; a step-daughter, Erika Hale of Mesa; grandchildren, Jennifer, Lucas, Clayton, and Anthony; and a great-grandchild Tiernan.
A private family gathering will be held.
