Denise Jamnick

Denise Rae Jamnick, 55, of Silver Bay, died Sunday, September 1, 2013 in St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth, after a courageous 2 year battle with cancer.

She was born January 27, 1958 to Donald and Babe (Kellogg) Monson in Two Harbors. Denise grew up in Beaver Bay, and attended school in Silver Bay, graduating from William Kelley High School in 1977. She married Joe Jamnick on March 21, 1987 in Beaver Bay.

Denise worked as a waitress at the Apollo, Northwood's CafAC., and finished her career as owner of the Blue Anchor. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, and enjoyed playing cards, and spending time with her family, especially her children.

Denise was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Donnie Monson, sister, Debbie Nelson, and nephew, Kenny Nelson.

She is survived by her husband, Joe; children, Don (Jill) of Fridley and April of Silver Bay; sisters, Donna (Ron) Weavil of Indiana, Dawn Monson of Duluth, Delsie (Tom) Mealy, and Darsie (Jim) Blazejak both of Silver Bay; granddaughter, Madison; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service will be held 11 AM, Saturday, September 7, 2013 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Silver Bay.
