Denise Anderson

Denise J. (Leroux) Anderson passed away March 29, 2021 at the age of 87.

Denise was born October 10, 1933 in Hibbing to Armand and Mary (Sella) Leroux, and grew up in Marble.

After graduating from Greenway High School, she attended the University of Minnesota. Denise accepted a teaching job in Two Harbors where she met her husband Giles "Bucko" Anderson. She later was employed at Holy Rosary in Duluth where her talents flourished. Denise was an artistic, creative, and loving third grade teacher and she touched the lives of countless people in her 30 plus years there. After retiring she and Giles enjoyed traveling for several years.

Denise is preceded in death by her husband Giles, her parents, a brother, Gordon Leroux; and a sister, Shirley Hoshal.

She is survived by a daughter, Patti (Richard) Mushel; sons, Jeffrey (Justine) Anderson and Michael (Beth) Anderson; grandchildren, Justin, Christopher, Elizabeth, Jayden, Kylie, Emily, and Andy; a great-grandson, Felix; and nieces and nephews.
