Davis Hartshorn, 32, of Finland, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 3, 2013.
He was born August 15, 1981 to Paul and Margie (Dahle) Hartshorn in Duluth. Davis attended William Kelly High School in Silver Bay and Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College, graduating from the industrial maintenance program. He began an apprenticeship with the Millwrights Local #1348, completing it and becoming a journeyman millwright 3 weeks ago.
Davis enjoyed snowboarding, snowmobiling, music, classic cars, and working with his hands. He created metal art and chainmail necklaces. Davis was known for his volunteering and very active as a sponsor in AA, having been sober for over 7 years.
He is survived by daughters; Hailie and Julia; their mother, Angie Littlewolf; his parents Paul and Margie; brother, Ryan; nephew and niece Ryan Jr. and Journey; grandmother, Ellen Hartshorn; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; and his brothers and sisters of Local #1348.
Visitation will be from 10 AM until the 11 AM Service on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at the Clair Nelson Center in Finland.
