David Anderson
June 22, 1929 — April 6, 2015
David I. Anderson, 85, formerly of Two Harbors, died surrounded by his loved ones Monday April 6, 2015 at the North Ridge Care Center in New Hope, MN.
Dave was born June 22, 1929 to Iver and Esther Anderson in Two Harbors.
Dave had a passion for railroads and enjoyed a long career working for the DM&IR and Reserve Mining Company in Silver Bay.
He was an avid outdoorsman and liked hunting ruffed grouse and fishing brook trout. He liked to spend time at his cabin. Dave and Helen especially enjoyed the time they were able to spend there with their grandchildren.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Helen in 2011, and two children who died at birth.
He is survived by a daughter, Christine (Gary) Bearl of New Hope, MN, sons, Martin (Susan) and Daniel (Candy) both of Maple Grove, MN and grandchildren, Autumn (Brian), Erin (Steve), David (Cerian), Laney, Amanda (Jeremy), Christopher and Sean.
Visitation will be at 10 AM followed by a memorial service at 11 AM on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Two Harbors. Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery.
Memorial preferred to Emmanuel Lutheran Church Peacemakers (quilters).
