Daniel Schlienz

Daniel Schlienz, 42, Grand Marais, died Tuesday, December 27, 2011 in Essentia Health, Duluth.
He was born August 31, 1969 in Grand Marais to Virginia "Ginger" (Krotz) and Gary Schlienz. After graduating from Cook County High School in 1988, Dan was employed as a heavy equipment operator in the construction industry.
Dan enjoyed hunting, fishing, landscaping, muscle cars and his dog.
Dan is survived by his mother, Ginger (Palmer) Berglund of Grand Marais, his father, Gary (Mandy) Schlienz of Grand Marais; a brother, Gary Wade (Rayna) Schlienz of St Paul; a sister, Bev Wolke of Grand Marais; two nieces, Jade and Raynee; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and his beloved dog, Chaos.
Services will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Cornerstone Community Church in Grand Marais.
