Dale Hanson

Dale Hanson, 85, of Two Harbors died Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Ecumen Scenic Shores in Two Harbors.

He was born on July 28, 1930 to John and Emma (Swanson) Hanson in Two Harbors where he grew up and attended schools.  Dale was drafted into the US Army and served in Germany from 1952-1954.  He worked as Street Commissioner for the City of Two Harbors until his retirement.

Dale enjoyed hunting and time spent at the hunting shack, camping, cooking, basketball, western movies, and coffee at Judy’s Café.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, MaryAnn; siblings, William, Ruth, Walter, and Jack; and son, Leon Boulanger.

Dale is survived by sons Loren (Miggy) Boulanger, Mark (JoAnn) Boulanger, Marty (Dawn) Boulanger, and John (Vanessa) Hanson; longtime partner, Mary Betzler; sister, Margaret Lillegaard; and several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Services will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Two Harbors.
