CLARENCE PETERSEN

Clarence Frederick Petersen, 84 of Silver Bay, passed away November 1, 2011 in Duluth. He was born February 3, 1927 to Fredrick and Mary Lou (Cowell) Petersen in Aldoora, Iowa.

Clarence was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Veteran's of Foreign Wars, past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, and a member of the congregation of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Silver Bay.

He is preceded in death by his parents Mary Lou and Frederick; sister Virginia; brother Bob; and son Stephen.

Clarence is survived by his wife, Marlene; daughters LeeAnn of Silver Bay and Cheri (Denny) Moline of River Falls, WI; sons David (Renee) of Waukesha, WI and Herald of Castle Rock, WA; brothers Ted (Joanne) of Milaca, MN and Jack (Cheryl) of Sauk Rapids, MN. Clarence is survived by his seven beautiful granddaughters; Andrea, Jessica, Samantha, Megan, Morgan, Kelly Jo, and Emily; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 AM on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at St Mary's Catholic Church in Silver Bay. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Two Harbors.
