Claire Cullen

Claire Cullen, 92, of Two Harbors died Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Lake View Memorial Hospital.

She was born on March 20, 1929 to Henry and Pauline Johnston in Duluth, where she grew up and attended schools.  Claire married Paul Cullen on July 1, 1949 and together they operated The Electric Shop- Gamble’s Hardware in Two Harbors until their retirement in 1978.

Claire enjoyed Bridge, golfing, and time at the cabin at Sand Lake.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Paul; son, David; sister, Lola (Tyndal) Palmer; and brother, Wayne (Jan) Johnston.

Claire is survived by children Sandy (Tom) Geier of Hermantown and Mark Cullen (Brenda) of Two Harbors; grandchildren Lisa (Ryan) and Sara (Bill); and great-grandchildren, Dane, Clara, Owen, and Cole.

Memorials preferred to the Alzheimer’s Association or Emmanuel Lutheran Church.

A private graveside service will be held.
