Christine Smith

Christine Katherine (Wolff) Smith, 57, of Grand Marais, passed away Wednesday May 24, 2017 at her home in Grand Marais.

Chris was born November 15, 1959 in Mankato, MN to Charles and Yvonne Wolff Jr. of Janesville, MN.  She graduated from Janesville High School in 1978.  Christine worked at E.F. Johnsons, did day care, and worked as in home support for Cook County Health and Human Services.  She was united in marriage to Tom Smith on May 23, 2004.   Christine loved playing Bomb Dice and cards, camping, fishing, bird watching, and most of all spending time with family.

Chris is preceded in death by her grandparents, Leon and Dorothy Lang, and Charles Wolff Sr.

She is survived by her husband Tom of Grand Marais; parents, Charles and Yvonne Wolff of Janesville, MN; daughter Beth (Ryan) Frogge of Rosemount, MN; and son, Norman (Christina) Peterson of West Concord, MN.

Chris is also survived by her three sisters, Treasa Severson of Burnsville, MN; LoryAnn (Daniel) Stangler of Elysian, MN, Paula (Lance) Green of Apple Valley, MN; brother Chet Wolff of Owatonna, MN and grandmother, Madeline Wolff of Madison Lake, MN.   She thought the world of her grandchildren, Rebecca and Kaitlyn Frogge, and Savannah, Joslyn, and Remi Peterson; and several nieces and nephews, Ashley Stangler, Aldon Severson, Alex Wolff, and Connor and Chase Green.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 PM on Sunday June 4, 2017 at All Saints' Catholic Church in Madison Lake. Additional services will be held at 3 PM on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at the Senior Center in Grand Marais.
