Chester Bislow

Chester I. "Checka" Bislow, 92, died Wednesday April 2, 2014 at Ecumen Scenic Shores in Two Harbors.
Chester was born July 13, 1921 in Two Harbors to Peter and Rose (Manelski) Bislow.
He was employed by various maritime companies sailing on the Great Lakes, retiring as chief engineer on the tug "Edna G."
Fishing was his hobby along with his cabin on Stone Lake.
Chester was preceded in death his parents; his wife, Harriet; and a brother, Robert.
Checka is survived by his sons, Thomas of Mahtowa, James of Buffalo, MN and Kevin of Two Harbors; a daughter, Mary Cordts of Seattle, WA; five granddaughters and five great-granddaughters; a brother, Frank of Virginia, MN; and a sister, Grace Kovalik of Richfield, MN.
A memorial service will be held at a future date at Stone Lake.
