Carol L. Lenzen, 84, Grand Marais, died peacefully at her home on Thursday, March 27, 2025.

Carol was born May 19, 1940, to Carl and Margaret (Fogelberg) Berg in Eveleth, MN where she grew up and attended Eveleth High School. After completing nursing school, she was employed as a registered nurse and Director of Waterview Woods Nursing Home in Eveleth. Carol also owned small businesses including Makinen Liquor and Bait and a trucking company hauling cows to the St. Paul stockyard.

She enjoyed going in the woods viewing wildlife, cooking brats over the campfire, and moose shed hunting. Carol holds the 3rd largest shed antler in Lake County and 9th largest in Minnesota.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William "Bill" Siveny, son Carl "Cully" Siveny and uncle Robert "Bud" Fogelberg.

She is survived by her partner of 38 years, John Bloomquist; brother, Jerry Berg; son Bill (Paula) Siveny; grandchildren, Nick (Carly) Siveny and Carly Siveny; great-grandson, Leo Siveny; John's children, Leonard (Cecilia) Bloomquist, Kim (Bert) VanBeck, Carmen (David) Smith and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, niece and nephews.

A memorial gathering will be held on May 10, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Bloomquist Mtn Cabin, 232 Bloomquist Mtn Road, Grand Marais, MN.
