Carol Giacomini

Carol Giacomini, 78, of Two Harbors, died unexpectedly on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Lake View Memorial Hospital in Two Harbors.
She was born on July 16, 1938 to Louis and Elnor (Jaeger) Johnson in Superior, where she grew up and attended schools. Carol married Frank Giacomini in 1960, and they moved to Two Harbors in 1964. Through the years Carol was a homemaker and later worked as a nursing assistant at Lake View Home for many years.
Carol enjoyed gardening, time in the screen house Frank built her, and time spent with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank in 2003; daughter, Margie in 2016; and son-in-law, Kim Heide also in 2016.
She is survived by daughter, Paula (Dave) Katusky of Minneapolis; sons, Frank Jr. of Duluth, and John (Liz) of Independence, MN; grandchildren, Jeff, Michael, Kendal, Peter, and Isabelle; sisters and brother, Yvonne Quam, Arnold “Bud” Johnson, Kay McClelland, and Marge Hanson.
Visitation will be from 5-7 PM on Friday July 14, 2017 at Cavallin Funeral Home in Two Harbors. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Saturday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Two Harbors. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
