Carl John Lind, 71, Castle Danger, died Monday, January 9, 2012 in St Luke's Hospital.
He was born June 22, 1940 to Carl and Lillian (Johanson) Lind in Duluth. John grew up in Castle Danger and attended schools in Two Harbors. He worked for over 25 years for Cargill until his retirement. Upon retiring, he returned to the North Shore and drove bus for the AEOA, enjoying his time with the elderly and children.
John loved fishing, hunting, and tinkering in his shop. He was active in the Lion's Club and Our Saviour's Lutheran Church.
John was preceded in death by a son Anthony, his parents, and a brother-in-law, Dan Anderson.
He is survived by a daughter, Stacy (Peter) Klucas of Blaine; son Christopher (Angela Petro) of Lino Lakes; grandchildren Jacob, Andrew, and Autumn; sisters and brother, Carol (Ed) Nordahl, Barb Anderson, and Bill (Pam)Lind all of Two Harbors and Martha ( Al ) Pierce of Alaska; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation willbe from 12:30 PM until the 1:30 PM service on Friday, January 13, 2012 at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Castle Danger.
