Cameron Lloyd Torgerson left this world on March 12, 2022 in Spartanburg, South Carolina. He was 90 years old.
Cam was born in Henning, Minnesota on October 21, 1931. He spent most of his childhood in Battle Creek, Minnesota, and in 1950, he enlisted in the Army and spent 17 months in the Korean War. He was honorably discharged from the military in December of 1952, and a short time later, he met and married Aleda “DeeDee” Lavonne Fovaux. Cam and DeeDee moved to Silver Bay, where Cam worked at Reserve Mining Company until his retirement.
Cam is preceded in death by his parents (August Julian and Marie Curtis), his beloved wife DeeDee, and his sisters Marion (Kainz) and Janet (Sisko). Cam is survived by his four sons: Dean (Becky), Donald, Danny, and David (Lynelle). He is survived by sister Audrey (Krier). Cam had seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held for Cam on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at 11:00am at the Sychar Lutheran Church in Silver Bay, Mn. He will be laid to rest at Sawtooth Mountain Cemetery following the service.
