Bill Highmark, 64, Two Harbors, died Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at home surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with brain cancer.
Bill was born September 6, 1958 to Vince and Joyce (Cavallin) Highmark in Two Harbors where he was a life-long resident. After graduating from high school in 1976, Bill was self-employed as an upholsterer for several years. He later worked in the plumbing and HVAC business. Bill was a master craftsman and enjoyed working on his own home and those of his family and friends until his body no longer allowed him to work.
Bill was a member of Eastridge Community Church and the Minnesota Street Rod Association.
Bill enjoyed old cars, woodworking, furniture restoration/reconstruction, camping, and goofing off. His greatest joy was spending time with friends and family, especially his grandchildren. Bill enjoyed celebrating life to the fullest and looked forward to the celebration of Heaven. He will be remembered for his quick wit and compassionate heart for others.
Bill was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Julie; daughters, Erin (Jason) Dreier and Haley (Max) Renner; grandchildren, Claire, Britta and Anders Dreier and Otto and Jasper Renner; his mother, Joyce (Ole Svendsen) Highmark; brothers, Dan (Monica) and Peter (Cathy) Highmark; and nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be from 4 PM until the 6 PM service on Friday, December 2, 2022 at First Baptist Church in Two Harbors.
