Beverly Lois Miller

Beverly Miller, 91, of Brimson, died on Friday, March 21, 2025 at Heritage Haven in Duluth.

She was born on May 31, 1933 to William and Hilja (Hiltunen) Wartianen in Duluth. Beverly grew up in rural Duluth, graduated from Clover Valley High School and later Duluth State Teacher’s College. She taught school for two years in Hinckley before marrying Wayne Miller in 1954. They made their home in French River until moving to Brimson in 1987. Bev was a homemaker through the years and her pride was her family. She enjoyed her retirement years at Cadotte Lake, where she was a member of Bassett Congregational Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wayne in 2006; and a sister, Audrey Dreier.

Beverly is survived by sons Randy (Susan) Miller of Duluth and Bradley Miller of Virginia; daughters Brenda (Larry) Jeneson of Harlingen, TX, Cynthia (Dennis) Hickey of Duluth, and Sandra (Tommy) Hagglund of Duluth; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Bev’s family would like to thank the staff of Heritage Haven for their loving care for Mom during her last years.
