Beau D. Buckwalter, 44, Two Harbors, died surrounded by his loving family at home on Monday, April 28, 2025, after a courageous five-year battle with metastatic colon cancer.
Beau was born December 9, 1980, to Danny and Patti (Goette) Buckwalter in Duluth and grew up in Two Harbors, graduating from Two Harbors High School in 1999. After completing his Associate’s Degree at Lake Superior College in 2001, he began his career as an electrician. A member of IBEW Local # 242, he was employed by ArchKey Solutions/Parsons Electric for many years.
His family and the outdoors were Beau’s true passions. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping and most of all, teaching his children all the ways of the outdoors. Beau was a determined and independent man, always up for a challenge and full of ideas and grit. He never backed down when things got hard, he just put his head down and pushed through.
He was preceded in death by his father, Danny; grandparents, Clarence and Millie Goette, and Daniel and Christine Buckwalter; his aunt, Jayne Conway and his cousin, Coal Goette.
Beau is survived by his wife, Jenny; his children, Elayna and Gage; his mother, Patti (Ron) Kenowski; sister, Rhiannon (Matt Otto) Buckwalter; nephew, Bhodie; sister-in-law, Beth (Adam) Hendrickson; nephew Nick (Anya Korman) and niece, Anna; his in-laws, Dave and Kathy Pierson; and many other extended family and amazing friends.
A Celebration of Life and Lunch will be held starting at Noon, Saturday, May 3, 2025 at the Clair Nelson Community Center in Finland, MN.
A memorial fund has been established at the Two Harbors Federal Credit Union, Jennifer Buckwalter ,c/o Buckwalter Family Benefit. 218-834-2266.
The Buckwalter family extends sincere gratitude and appreciation to family, friends, coworkers and to all of Beau’s many caregivers.
