BEATRICE A. KULA
Beatrice Ann Kula, 88, of Silver Bay died June 8, 2011 in St. Luke's hospice from complications of a stroke.
She was born in Cheboygan, MI, on February 12, 1923 to Arthur and Marie (Williams) Bernard. She grew up in Bay City, MI, where she married Myron C. Kula and they shared their love of building houses for over 55 years. Bea was very creative, both with making house decorations (from drywall to drapes) and a prolific knitter/crocheter of numerous sweaters and afghans for family and friends. She was an active member of St. Mary's Prayer Shawl Ministry, having made the majority of all of those blessings. An avid gardener, she had "10 green thumbs" and had the gift of making anything grow and thrive.
Bea was preceded in death by her parents; husband Myron; son Donald A.; and 11 brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her daughter Lana (Donald L.) Seipke of Silver Bay; son Ronald (Janet) Kula of Grand Rapids, MI; grandchildren, Donald P. Seipke, James Seipke, Kathy (Brian) Christianson, and John (Judy) Kula; great-grandchildren, Michael, Meagan, Daniel, Abby, Charles, Brenden, Emily, Zachery, Emily, and Tyler; and a very special niece Jackie Vogel.
A private family service will be held to celebrate her life and their love for her.
A very special thanks to Fr. Frank Paquette, Dr. Knuths, and the caring staff at St. Luke's Hospice.
