Beatrice Carr

Beatrice Mae Carr, currently of Two Harbors, MN died November 4, 2014 after suffering a fall.

Beatrice was born on May 7, 1922 in Manvel, ND north of Grand Forks, to Doris 'Nettie' (Laidley) and Albert J Wendt.

Beatrice graduated High School from Manvel School and moved to Clinton, IA shortly after. While there she worked as a waitress and later a lathe operator during WWII. She met Anson R Carr there and they were married 2 weeks later in Grand Forks, ND. During Anson's 22 years in the US Army she lived in New Jersey, Milwaukee, WI, Manvel, ND, Okinawa and El Paso, TX.  She moved to Two Harbors in 2009 to live in Ecumen Scenic Shores Assisted Living.

Bea managed 3 cafes through the years, enjoying the customers she met. Bea became a Texas Emergency Medical Services (EMS) member in her early 50's and served many years. She loved horses, cats and dogs. She loved helping people and always lighted up watching children and animals. While in Round Rock, TX she was a regular at the Allen R. Baca Senior Center where she had many friends she loved to spend time with.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Anson on October 1, 1981 after 33 years of marriage

Beatrice is survived by her daughter Gayle (Bruce) Pierce of Two Harbors; son Aaron (StephanieTodd) Carr of Round Rock, TX; 2 grandsons Daniel (Janine) Pierce and Timothy Pierce of Two Harbors; 3 granddaughters Jeanna Pierce of Two Harbors, MN, Karissa Venditti and Amber Honeycutt of Round Rock, TX; great-grandsons Daniel J Gnerer-Pierce and Jordon Stevens of Two Harbors, Blake Honeycutt and Kaleb Venditti of Round Rock, TX; great-granddaughters Elissa Mullin and Kylie Venditti of Round Rock, TX and Erika Mastel of Anoka, MN. Bea is also survived by a sister, Alda (Clarence) Nelson of Park Rapids, MN and special cousins Elroy (Adrienne) Hoverson and Ronald (Gayle) Hoverson both formerly of Manvel, ND.

Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday November 15, 2014 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Two Harbors.  A luncheon will follow at the Moose.
