Audrey Koop

Audrey Z. Koop, 96, of Two Harbors died Friday June 29, 2018 at Ecumen Scenic Shores in Two Harbors.

She was born on Mar 11, 1922 to Joseph Sr. and Ethel (Cardwell) Zastera in Jackson, MS.  Audrey grew up in Jackson and Louisville, NE before marrying Harold Koop on October 8, 1944.  Together they moved to Two Harbors in 1949 and made their home on the North Shore.

Audrey enjoyed reading, sewing, flower gardening, and crafts.  She was a member of the United Church of Two Harbors, Women’s Mission Circle, Dorcas Circle, and taught Sunday school for 20 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold; daughter, Barbara Koop; brothers Joseph Jr. and Thomas Zastera; and sisters, Trudy Morgenstern and Josephine Rutt.

Audrey is survived by her children, Jon (Gayle), Howard, and Debbie Koop (Dennis Blumke); grandchildren, Andrea Koop, Bryan (Sara) Koop, Anthony Koop, and Amanda Koop; and 3 great-grandchildren, Steven, Ava, and Emmaline Koop.

Visitation will be from 10 AM until the 11 AM service on Thursday July 12, 2018 at the United Church in Two Harbors.  Memorials to the United Church or Two Harbors Public Library. Burial will be held in Silver Creek Cemetery.
