Anne Veronica (Prebonich) Maurin, 100 years young!
Born in Keewatin, MN of Croatian decent August 22, 1910 died peacefully April 13, 2011 surrounded by family. Survived by children Kathyrn Levitan, Patrick (Elizabeth) Maurin, Judy (John) Brisky, Margaret Lozenski and grandchildren Peter, Lara, Clair, Angie, Karen, Joe, Lisa, Mary Lee, 10 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and beloved niece Catherine June.
Preceded in death by husband George, brothers and sisters long past.
Devout Catholic, wife, mother and friend, Anne loved nature; trailing arbutus in spring, fall leaves, berry picking, swimming and fishing on Crooked Lake. She was a wonderful cook of homemade soups and baker of potica She traveled the world from Israel to Alaska, and Yugoslavia. Anne had only kind words for people, looked for the good in others and had a warm hand to offer. She will be missed by family and friends alike.
