Anna Maki

Anna O. Maki, 92, Brimson, died Friday, September 16, 2016 in Ecumen Scenic Shores in Two Harbors.
She was born August 8, 1924 to Axel and Adelina (Skogman) Oman in Brimson, where she grew up. Anna married Oscar Maki on April 27, 1946 in Biwabik. She was a homemaker and also worked at the CO-OP Store in Toimi, and as a janitor at the Bassett School, and for Bassett Township.
Anna was a member of the Brimson Action Club and a life member of the Brimson Sportsmen’s Club.
She enjoyed dancing, gardening, socializing, and time with family.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Oscar; daughter, Amy; brothers, Art, Alex, Arvid and Edward Oman; and sisters, Ina Nelson and Ailie Poulin.
She is survived by her son, Ferris (Joyce) Maki of Brimson; daughter, Diane (Tom) Grubb of Duluth; grandchildren, Carrie (Chad) Jacobson, Curtis Maki, and Chelsey (Dustin) Magnuson; great-grandchildren Bryce and Rylan Magnuson; a brother, Albert (Doris) Oman of Aurora; a sister, Alma Carlson of Two Harbors; sister-in-law, Pat Oman of Brimson; and many nieces and nephews.
