Ann Koenig

Ann Koenig, 60, of Two Harbors, died Monday, July 22, 2013 at Essentia Health Duluth.
She was born in Two Harbors on April 6, 1953 to Tauno and Jean (Ryan) Wirt. Ann was a lifelong resident of Two Harbors and was a homemaker throughout the years. She loved spending time with her family, especially her 8 grandchildren. Ann was known for her "black thumb", fierce independence, and love of pets. She was a lifelong member of the United Church and the American Legion.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her children Miranda (Kevin) Graden and Mathew (Amber) Koenig both of Two Harbors; 8 grandchildren; brothers, Dennis, Craig, and Donald Wirt all of Two Harbors; and ex-husband Joseph Koenig, of Superior.
Services will be held at 11 AM on Monday, July 29, 2013 at the United Church in Two Harbors.
