Andrea Jackopich

Andrea Jackopich, 63, Grand Marais, died unexpectedly on Friday, October 14, 2022 at home.

She was born March 4, 1959 Andy and Francis Hazel (Evans) Koenig and grew up and attended schools in Sheboygan, WI.  Andrea moved with her mother to Grand Marais during her high school years and was employed for various hotels doing housekeeping and laundry.  Once her children were grown, she was a homemaker.  Andrea married Marty Jackopich in 1989.

She enjoyed spending time outside.  Whether it was sitting watching the animals and trees at home or sitting on the deck at the hunting shack.  She also enjoyed 4-wheeling, music, and her dogs.

Andrea was preceded in death by her parents and son, Tom Young in March.

She is survived by her husband, Marty “Tony” Jackopich; daughters, Tara and Tina; grandchildren, Tyler and Jayden Maniekee, Johnathan Huskey, Louie Oullis, WayD and Robert Parent, and Andrea and Maria Young.

Per Andrea’s wishes, no services will be held.
